Andrew Keefe Vintage, Self Promotion Postcard (2009)

This vintage, self-promotion postcard uses elements of Photshop files, but the native file was done in Illustrator. I was very satisfied with the vintage look that was achieved and I thought it was a strong showing of my creative skills.

The rare self-promotion piece that rendered itself obsolete in a couple of years as the numbers rang up.

The Action.

I designed and executed this piece in 2009 when I was investigating opportunities as a production artist/designer. This vintage-looking (yet created from scratch) self-promotion postcard uses elements of Photoshop files, but the native file was done in Illustrator. I was very satisfied with the vintage look that was achieved and I thought it was a strong showing of my creative skills.

The Result

The result was some call-backs. I was hoping for more, but the economy had tanked and there wasn’t a lot of hiring in 2009.

The Legacy

I have left a rich tapestry of printing projects on a national scale. Permanent and traveling museum exhibits to sports arenas. The large scale project organization skills will always come in handy when someone needs to “talk” to the printer because there is a problem. Well, I used to be the guy at the printer calling you! I can’t solve all the printing problems because some aren’t solvable. But, would it not be nice to know what is and what isn’t with confidence?
